It will feature a dynamic blend of live music, a new gallery experience, and other engaging activities! The heart of this year’s celebration revolves around the theme, “They Live Among Us,” which serves as a touching homage to local activists who have devoted themselves to the cause of human and civil rights. During the event, we will honor Dr. Freeman Hrabowski, Commissioner Sheila Tyson and announce the inaugural list of district heroes in Birmingham, further emphasizing BCRI’s dedication to preserving the stories of the city’s remarkable civil rights movement.
