Birmingham's Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival and BCRI are partnering this year to present films on civil and human rights.  The Life and Liberty Sidebar of the film festival will screen documentary films that relate to the mission of BCRI--to promote civil and human rights worldwide.  "The sidebar is a perfect fit for both BCRI and Sidewalk for many reasons, especially due to the recent insurgence of quality human rights related films, exemplified by last year's big winner at Sidewalk, The Trials of Darryl Hunt," says Catherine Pfitzer, Sidewalk's Executive Director.

Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival, one of Time Magazine's "Film Festivals for the Rest of Us," is a project of the Alabama Moving Image Association, Inc., a publicly supported non-profit organization created to inspire, encourage and support films and filmmaking in Alabama.  For more, visit the festival Web site:  www.sidewalkfest.com.
